Day 1 Arrival in Chennai

Arrive in Chennai, the capital city of Tamil Nadu. After meeting your driver, transfer to your hotel and check in. In the afternoon, begin sightseeing with a visit to Marina Beach, the second-longest beach in the world, and Kapaleeshwarar Temple, a fine example of Dravidian architecture.
Later, explore San Thome Basilica and Government Museum, which showcases South India’s rich history. In the evening, enjoy shopping at local markets before returning to the hotel. Overnight stay in Chennai.

Day 2 Chennai to Kanchipuram & Mahabalipuram (70 km / 2 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Kanchipuram, also called the “City of Thousand Temples.” Visit Ekambareswarar Temple, dedicated to Lord Shiva, and Kailasanathar Temple, one of the oldest in the city. Kanchipuram is also famous for silk weaving, so you may stop at a silk saree workshop.
Continue to Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the Coromandel Coast. Explore Shore Temple, Arjuna’s Penance, and the Five Rathas. In the evening, relax by the beach before checking into your hotel for overnight stay.

Day 3 Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry (100 km / 2.5 hrs)

Depart for Pondicherry, a former French colony with a unique charm. On arrival, check in at your hotel and relax. Start sightseeing with visits to Aurobindo Ashram and the French Quarter, known for its colorful colonial architecture.
In the evening, walk along the Promenade Beach and enjoy the serene atmosphere. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.

Day 4 Pondicherry to Thanjavur (170 km / 4 hrs)

Day 5 Thanjavur to Trichy (60 km / 1.5 hrs)

Drive to Tiruchirappalli, also called Trichy. Visit Sri Ranganathaswamy Temple, one of the largest functioning temples in the world, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Its grand gopurams and religious importance attract pilgrims from across India.
Later, climb up to Rockfort Temple, which offers panoramic views of the city. Spend the evening exploring local markets before returning to your hotel. Overnight stay in Trichy.

Day 6 Trichy to Madurai (130 km / 3 hrs)

After breakfast, drive to Madurai, one of the oldest cities in India. Check in at your hotel and rest for a while. Begin sightseeing with Meenakshi Amman Temple, an architectural wonder with massive gopurams and countless sculptures.
In the evening, attend the special night ceremony at the temple, where idols of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati are carried in a procession. Overnight stay in Madurai.

Day 7 Excursion to Rameshwaram (170 km / 4 hrs one way)

Take a full-day excursion to Rameshwaram, one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites. Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, known for its long corridors and sacred tanks. A dip in the holy waters is believed to cleanse sins.
Explore Dhanushkodi, a deserted coastal town with beautiful views of the Bay of Bengal. Return to Madurai by evening for overnight stay.

Day 8 Departure from Madurai
